The Tulane University ALAAMEA Affinity Network, managed by the Office of Academic Excellence and Opportunity, is an umbrella network of affinity groups that connect faculty and staff through communities centered on shared experiences, histories, and interests.
These groups build and sustain Tulane’s Welcoming Community through connection, conversation, community building, and professional development. The groups host meetups, discussions, and events held throughout the year.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to join a group, connect with colleagues across campuses, and participate in all opportunities offered. All groups are open to all Tulane employees.
Mission
The mission of the ALAAMEA Affinity Network is to provide dynamic social, professional and leadership development opportunities through community building for faculty and staff committed to advancing institutional excellence and impact at Tulane.
Grounded in the values of welcoming community, connection, and continuous growth, ALAAMEA supports faculty and staff in building the skills, relationships, and awareness needed to navigate complex organizational landscapes, strengthen community engagement, and contribute to a university culture where all can reach their full potential.
