Description:

You're invited to our Welcome Back Social & Book Swap for Tulane faculty and staff living with disabilities! This casual gathering is a chance to reconnect, build community, and start the year with good company and good books.

Date: Thursday, August 28

Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Location: Murphy Building, Room 220131 S. Robertson Street, New Orleans, LA 70112

What to Expect:

Snacks from Empanola (with vegetarian and gluten-free options)

A Book Swap: Bring a book you’ve loved, gently used is totally welcome, and leave with a new one! If it’s about disability or has disability representation that’s an added bonus but all books welcome! We'll provide book cards with optional prompts to share why you loved it.

Meet fellow members and hear about our plans for the year ahead

Yes, this event is on the DOWNTOWN CAMPUS! We know that not enough is held on the downtown campus, so we want to make sure we start the year off down there!

From Uptown: You can take the Green Line shuttle from the Commons to Murphy (approx. 1 hour one-way).If you're coming from Uptown, we encourage carpooling!

We’d love to see you there, whether you’re new to the group or returning this year. If you have accessibility needs, we should be aware of for this event, feel free to reach out. The Murphy building has elevator access. You will need to show your Tulane Splash Card to enter.
