ALAAMEA Presents: Juneteenth
ALAAMEA Presents: Juneteenth will bring together faculty and staff, as well as students. for a shared celebration of Juneteenth paired with learning about local and national history as well as getting involved with Amistad.
The Amistad Research Center, in Pederson Lobby, will connect attendees to the history of Juneteenth, the legacy of slavery in Louisiana, and especially the ongoing work to preserve this history in New Orleans. This collaboration will reinforce our focus on connection and history and close out our semester’s programming in a way that connects faculty and staff to meaningful scholarship and public history.
