Booked! Faculty Publishing Initiative
Booked! is an initiative designed to support the scholarly writing and publishing of Tulane faculty, while remaining open to all Tulanians across the institution. Through lectures, conversations, and workshops, Booked! highlights recent publications and offers practical insight into the academic publishing process.
Booked! creates space for candid, experience-based discussion; featured academics engage in moderated conversations about navigating key stages of publishing, including securing a book contract, managing writing timelines, and responding to the challenges and opportunities that arise throughout the process. These events are designed to demystify academic publishing while also encouraging interdisciplinary exchange and mentorship across the Tulane community. Attendees often receive copies of the featured academic’s recent work alongside practical strategies for faculty publishing.
Booked! is offered once per semester and is hosted in person. Events typically bring together 45–60 attendees and are open to all members of the Tulane community.
